Do you have doors that cannot lock properly or with broken hinges? We can fit new window/door handles or locks.  In addition, we can fit restricted hinges for children's bedrooms. We can also replace double-glazed units or discoloured Georgian bars?

Doors:

If your front and back doors are not secure, neither is your home.  With our help you can make sure your doors and frames are strong and in good condition.  Doors should be made of solid core construction - 44mm thick. Glass panels on or around the door are especially vulnerable, so replace them with laminated glass.   For increased safety we can fit back and front doors with a five-lever mortice deadlocks and all exterior doors - top and bottom - with bolts. We will fit all security devices with strong screws or bolts and can even fit locks to patio doors, French doors, top and bottom, also with a security mortice lock and mortice bolt.   All our locks have the "kite mark" showing the British Standard (BS3621) and the words five-lever, or similar. We can even provide door chains to help you speak with strangers at the door without letting them in.

Windows:  

Easily visible locks may deter some thieves, because a window lock forces the thief to break the glass and risk attracting attention therefore inexpensive key-operated locks can be fitted to all kinds of windows. Even small windows such as skylights or bathroom fanlights need locks - a thief can get through any gap larger than a human head.  If you are replacing windows - consider laminated glass. Casement locks make it impossible to open windows without the correct key. Fanlight locks have a metal bolt to secure the metal arm used to open and close the window.
